David Hanabusa

Dave is a Partner at Aragon Ventures. Until he stepped fully onboard with Aragon in 2000, Dave divided his time as President and CEO of ControlNet, Inc (an incubator of communication industry startups). Dave is also a member of the board for Antara LLC and Vaishali LLC. In his own hefty twenty-two-year repertoire of high tech startups, Dave has served as chief financial officer or controller in a number of early stage companies, including:

SiRF Technology (global positioning system -GPS- fabless semiconductors)
CommVision Corporation (communication servers)
Quickturn Design Systems (emulation software and equipment -CAD- company    which went public and was later purchased by Cadence Design)
Kalpana (an Ethernet switch company sold to Cisco Systems)

S3, Incorporated (a graphic chip set fabless semiconductor, now public)
Convergent Technologies (computer systems, later purchased by UNISYS)

Mr. Hanabusa also worked at Cooper Laboratories (public pharmaceuticals company) as the Supervisor of Corporate Development, and at Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) as an audit senior.

Dave holds a masters in business administration in finance (MBA) from Golden Gate University and an accounting degree from San Jose State University. Mr. Hanabusa is a certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of California.
