Johnson

General Johnson is a consultant and Partner at Aragon Ventures. The General has more than 35 years experience in high tech communications systems and a long record of pioneering activities in the field. Highlights of General Johnson's background include assignment to the Executive Office of President Lyndon B. Johnson as Assistant Director of Telecommunications Management, and Corporate Vice President of Western Union Telegraph and American Satellite.

 

At the time of his retirement from the Air Force, General Johnson was Commanding General of Air Force Communications in the Pacific, in command of an organization of 20,000 people.

 

Through the 80's, General Johnson was involved in entrepreneurial activities in the Silicon Valley, California. He was founder, President and Chairman of Telebit Corporation (highly successful in the data transmission marketplace, acquired by Cisco) and a founder of Vitalink Communications (satellite-based digital networks). Currently, General Johnson is a member of the Board of Directors for:

ACT Networks - Westlake Village, California (wide area networks and communications)
Accelerated Networks - Moorpark, California (development stage internet access)
Radio Connect - Torrance, California (development stage wireless communications)

General Johnson holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland and an MS degree in business administration from George Washington University. He also served as an associate professor at American University Center of Technology and Administration.
